Because I'm a Lazy Gal

My dad showed me the most BRILLIANT printed tee-shirt I think I've seen in a LONG time online tonight. 'Twas black with white print and read something like this:

Top 10 reasons I procrastinate...
1.

Man, I laughed so hard, and my dad was almost crying. We procrastinators greatly appreciate such jokes.

Anywho...what has been going on in my life lately? That's a great question and one I've been longing to answer for months now haha. At this point I have about 7 different drafts saved for this blog, none of which I see myself finishing in the near future. So if blogging isn't my priority, what is?

I am graduating from community college in less than a month. My, these past two years have gone by freakishly fast! My goal this semester (and the only goal I've managed to set for myself within the last two years) was to get straight A's and it looks as if I'll make it. I'm extremely excited about that. I was accepted to a Christian college a couple hours away from home and am THRILLED to be able to start there in the fall. Not frightened yet, although I am sure that will come in time.

Been doing a lot of subbing for keyboard players at my church. It seems like everyone is out of town or getting broken wrists lately. I love subbing for the kid's services...they really could care less if I had any actual talent or not so I can focus on my silliness which seems to work better for me anyhow. However, the early and late adult services make me rather stiff and sweaty. I just have the feeling that amongst that small elderly congregation is about a dozen seasoned hymn players who know full well that I am cheating on half my seventh chords for sake of convenience. One day I’ll be confronted by an old lady who played for a church choir for forty some-odd years and then I shall feel just horrid. Such are the things my nightmares are made of.

I got a cat!!!! That’s probably the most important news of all…considering that I am Queen of the Cats. Go figure. Well anyways, I actually unofficially adopted her about four or five months ago. Last month, however, her real owners unexpectedly took up and left town, and she started hanging around all the time. So we bought her food, dishes, a brush, and she’s here for the long run. I love her. I’m trying to get my folks to let me take in the two strays that live in the vacant yard next door too, but I guess that’s pushing it a bit. Anyways, here’s a picture of my darling angel. Ain’t she beautiful?

Well other than driving my sisters around town in my spare time, and trying to hold on to relationships with friends all the while, my life has been pretty boring I guess. So I shall leave my little update right there. Have a lovely spring, ya’ll. It truly is beautiful outside, just go and have a look for yourselves! :-)

This doesn't have much to do with cats, although we've had a dozen or so cats in my life time as pets. But if you like reading Christian fantasy, may I suggest a title to try? "Outcasts Of Skagaray" by Andrew Clarke. For excerpts, please go to www.threeswans.com.au See what you think!
